Your nails are a way to speak your style without having to say a word – Tammy Taylor.
ave you ever looked at someone’s bare nails and wondered how come they are so perfect? Do they get them manicured in some expensive nail salon? Well, Obtaining long, good looking and healthy natural nails is no big deal if you take care of them at home itself. Here are some easy to follow tips that will help you to keep your nails healthy and beautiful, at the comfort of your home-
Use A Cuticle Oil
To keep your nails and cuticles in good health, use a cuticle oil at least twice a day. You can make your own cuticle oil at home, all you will need is –
- Olive Oil
- Almond Oil
- Jojoba Oil
- Vitamin E Capsules
- Fragrance (optional)
Mix all the oils in a container along with the content of Vitamin E capsules. For fragrance, you can add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to it. This concoction of nourishing ingredients will soften your cuticles and repair dry, brittle nails.
Strengthen Your Nails With Sea Salt And Lemon Juice soak
Take one tbsp of Sea Salt and one tbsp of lemon juice in a bowl of warm water. Soak your nails in this solution for about 10 minutes. Sea Salt will help to lock in the moisture into your nails and lemon juice will make them appear brighter by removing any stains on them. You can do this once or twice a week for better results.
Avoid nail paints that contain harsh chemicals
Certain types of chemicals present in nail paints can be damaging to your nails.
They can cause yellowing and staining which may look extremely unappealing when you don’t have any polish on your nails. Switch to DeBelle gel nail lacquers as they are enriched with natural seaweed minerals that allow your nails to breath and prevent them from turning yellow or getting stained.
Stay Away From UV Lamps
UV Lamps are typically used to quickly dry gel manicures. They produce harmful UVA rays that can cause premature skin ageing and skin cancer. So limit the use of UV Lamps as much as you can. If you are fond of gel manicures then you can try our gel based nail lacquers that are quick-drying and don’t require a UV Lamp! They give a high shine to your nails and condition them with seaweed extracts.
Don’t Buff Your Nails Too Often
Extensive buffing leads to weak and brittle nails. It can also affect your nail beds so use the buffer only when it’s absolutely necessary.
Eat Protein Rich Foods
Do your nails break or chip very easily? The chances are that your body is lacking in protein. Consume protein rich fruits and vegetables like Apricots, Guavas, Peas, Spinach etc.
Don’t forget, having a nail care routine is as important as having a skin care routine if you desire for long, beautiful and shiny natural nails. Make sure to always use only good quality nail lacquers that won’t cause any harm to your nails.
